What cookies our website uses, and why.
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They're used to make the site work, remember your preferences, or provide information to third-party services we rely on.
We keep this deliberately minimal. MCR Elite Transfers does not run any advertising or analytics cookies — we don't use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or similar tracking tools. The only cookies on this site come from the two services we need to take bookings and payments:
Our booking form uses Google's Places API to suggest addresses as you type, and to calculate driving distance for your fare. Loading this API can set cookies from Google (such as NID) used by Google for its own purposes, including security and service delivery. These are set by Google, not by us, and are covered by Google's cookie policy.
When you pay for a booking, we use Stripe to process your card payment securely. Stripe sets cookies (such as __stripe_mid and __stripe_sid) that help detect fraud and keep the payment session secure. These are essential to being able to take payment safely and are covered by Stripe's cookie policy.
Our hosting platform may set strictly necessary cookies related to caching and site security, which don't identify you personally and are required for the site to function correctly. We also set a cookie to remember the choice you make in our cookie consent banner, so we don't ask you again on every visit.
Most browsers let you view, delete, and block cookies through their settings. Because the Google Maps and Stripe cookies described above are needed for the booking form and payment to work, blocking them may mean you can't complete a booking on our website — you're welcome to contact us directly instead.
If the services we use change, we'll update this page. We'll update the "last updated" date at the top when we do.
